The day also gives you the opportunity to simply relax and enjoy the remarkable surroundings after the previous day's journey.

Later, return toward the dunes and enjoy more time in the desert before spending another night in the Merzouga area. Having a full day here makes the Sahara portion of the journey much more comfortable and allows you to experience the region beyond a simple camel trek and overnight stay.

Leave Merzouga after breakfast and begin traveling southwest through the remote landscapes of southeastern Morocco. The route passes through desert plateaus and small settlements before reaching the historic Draa Valley.

As you approach the valley, the scenery changes dramatically. Thousands of date palms stretch along the oasis, creating a striking green ribbon through an otherwise dry landscape. Traditional villages and ancient kasbahs are scattered throughout the valley, reflecting the area's importance along historic caravan routes.

Continue toward Zagora, one of the best-known towns in southern Morocco. Once an important stopping point for caravans traveling toward the Sahara, Zagora remains closely connected to the Draa Valley and its desert heritage. Enjoy a relaxed evening at your accommodation and take in the atmosphere of this distinctive southern Moroccan town.

After breakfast, leave Zagora and travel north through the Draa Valley toward Agdz. The road follows the oasis landscape, with extensive palm groves, traditional villages, and historic kasbahs appearing along the route.

Continue toward Ouarzazate, where the landscape gradually changes from the green oasis of the Draa Valley to rocky plateaus and mountain scenery. From Ouarzazate, continue toward Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most recognizable historic sites.

Explore the UNESCO-listed ksar, walking through its narrow passages and between its traditional earthen buildings. From the higher parts of the village, enjoy panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. Spending the night near Ait Ben Haddou creates a comfortable break before the final journey across the High Atlas Mountains toward Marrakech.

Your final day takes you from Ait Ben Haddou toward Marrakech through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. After breakfast, begin the climb toward the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, one of the most famous mountain routes in Morocco.

Take time along the route to appreciate the scenery and the dramatic contrast between the dry landscapes of southern Morocco and the greener areas on the northern side of the mountains.

As the road descends from the High Atlas, the landscape gradually opens toward the plains surrounding Marrakech. Continue to the Red City and arrive later in the day.
