There is also time to relax and appreciate the silence of the Sahara. Rather than immediately leaving after the camel trek, this additional day gives you the opportunity to experience Merzouga at a much slower pace.

After breakfast, leave Merzouga and travel southwest through one of the quieter sections of southeastern Morocco. Pass through Rissani before continuing toward Alnif, where broad desert plateaus stretch between rugged mountain ranges.

Continue through Tazarine, a region known for its rocky landscapes, oasis settlements, and traditional villages. The route offers a different perspective of southern Morocco, away from the larger tourist centers.

As you continue toward Zagora, the landscape gradually changes and the Draa Valley begins to appear. Palm groves become increasingly common, forming a long green oasis through the otherwise dry landscape.

Arrive in Zagora and enjoy the evening in this historic desert town. Zagora was once an important stopping point for caravans traveling south and remains one of the best-known destinations in the Draa Valley region.

Today's journey takes you through the heart of the Draa Valley. After breakfast, travel north through an extensive oasis landscape filled with date palms, traditional villages, cultivated fields, and historic kasbahs.

The Draa Valley was an important route for trade and movement across southern Morocco, and many settlements along the route still preserve traditional architecture and agricultural practices.

Continue toward Agdz, a historic town surrounded by palm groves and mountain scenery. Take time to appreciate the landscape before continuing north toward Ouarzazate.

As the road leaves the oasis, the scenery becomes more rugged and the mountains surrounding Ouarzazate gradually come into view. Arrive in Ouarzazate during the afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening in the city.

Today offers a slower day around the Ouarzazate region. After breakfast, travel toward Skoura, a beautiful palm oasis known for its historic kasbahs and traditional architecture. The extensive palm groves create a striking contrast with the surrounding dry mountains.

Continue toward the Valley of Roses, passing through traditional villages and fertile landscapes. The valley is particularly famous for rose cultivation and local products, with the surrounding mountains creating a beautiful backdrop.

Take time to enjoy the scenery and the quieter atmosphere before returning toward Ouarzazate. Depending on your schedule, there may also be time to explore some of the city's landmarks, including Taourirt Kasbah or areas connected to its famous film industry.

The final day gives you meaningful time to discover Marrakech rather than simply using the city as a departure point. Explore the historic medina and visit some of its most important landmarks, such as Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Mosque.
