Your 8 Days Morocco Women’s Tour begins in Marrakech, where you meet your private driver and begin discovering one of Morocco’s most colorful cities.
After settling into your riad, enjoy a relaxed introduction to the historic medina. Walk through narrow streets filled with traditional shops, textiles, leather goods, lanterns, ceramics and spices.
Continue toward Jemaa el-Fnaa and experience the atmosphere of Marrakech’s most famous square. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a rooftop café overlooking the medina or simply spend time exploring at your own pace.
The first day is intentionally relaxed, allowing everyone to settle in and become familiar with the city before the journey continues.
Spend the night in a traditional Marrakech riad.
Spend a full day experiencing the culture and traditions of Marrakech.
Explore the medina and discover some of the city’s beautiful historic architecture, courtyards and decorative details. Continue into the souks, where artisans work with leather, metal, textiles, wood and ceramics.
There is time to browse Moroccan products, discover locally made items and enjoy the colorful atmosphere without rushing from one attraction to another.
Later, experience one of Morocco’s best-known wellness traditions with a hammam and relaxing spa experience. It provides a peaceful contrast to the energy of the medina and adds an important element of Moroccan tradition to the journey.
The evening is free to enjoy Marrakech, visit a rooftop restaurant or relax at your riad.
After breakfast, leave Marrakech and travel south toward the High Atlas Mountains.
The scenery changes quickly as the city gives way to valleys, mountain roads and traditional Amazigh villages. Continue toward Imlil, located beneath some of the highest peaks in North Africa.
Spend time discovering the village and surrounding landscapes at a comfortable pace. Enjoy a gentle walk through the valley, admire terraced fields and learn more about life in Morocco’s mountain communities.
The slower pace provides plenty of opportunities for photographs, conversations and stops at panoramic viewpoints.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Atlas Mountains and spend the night in the Imlil area, surrounded by dramatically different scenery from Marrakech.
Distance: Approximately 65 km.
Wake to the mountain scenery surrounding Imlil before beginning the journey toward Ait Ben Haddou.
Travel through the High Atlas region, enjoying panoramic stops as the route passes mountain villages, deep valleys and dramatic rocky landscapes.
Continue toward the southern side of the mountains, where the scenery gradually becomes drier and traditional earthen architecture begins to appear.
Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most recognizable historic sites. Explore the UNESCO-listed ksar and walk through its narrow passages between traditional earth-built structures.
From elevated points around the village, enjoy beautiful views across the surrounding valley and mountains.
Spend the night near Ait Ben Haddou, where the quieter atmosphere provides a relaxing end to the day.
Distance: Approximately 190 km.
Enjoy breakfast before leaving Ait Ben Haddou and traveling back across the High Atlas Mountains.
The route provides another opportunity to admire the dramatic scenery before continuing toward the landscapes surrounding Marrakech.
Instead of returning directly to the city, continue toward the Agafay Desert. Unlike the enormous sand dunes of the Sahara, Agafay is characterized by rocky hills, open plains and views toward the distant Atlas Mountains.
Settle into the desert surroundings and enjoy time to relax before sunset.
As evening approaches, watch the changing light spread across the rocky landscape. Enjoy dinner and the peaceful atmosphere away from the city before spending the night in Agafay.
Distance: Approximately 210 km.
After a relaxed morning in Agafay, begin the journey west toward Morocco’s Atlantic coast.
The landscapes gradually change as you travel away from the mountains and toward Essaouira.
Arrive in the coastal city and settle into your accommodation before exploring its relaxed medina. Essaouira offers a completely different atmosphere from Marrakech, with whitewashed buildings, blue details, sea breezes and a slower rhythm.
Walk along the historic ramparts, explore small shops and galleries, and visit the lively fishing harbor.
Later, enjoy the Atlantic sunset or relax at one of the cafés and restaurants around the medina.
Spend the night in Essaouira.
Distance: Approximately 190 km.
Enjoy an entire day in Essaouira without a fixed travel schedule.
Begin with a relaxed breakfast before exploring more of the medina. Browse boutiques, artisan workshops, local galleries and shops selling Moroccan crafts and products.
Walk beside the historic ramparts for views across the Atlantic or spend time around the harbor watching fishing boats return to the city.
The afternoon is deliberately flexible. Relax on the beach, enjoy a long lunch, explore independently, visit cafés or continue shopping through the medina.
Essaouira’s slower pace makes this day an opportunity to unwind before returning to Marrakech.
As evening approaches, enjoy another Atlantic sunset and your final night on the coast.
Enjoy a final relaxed morning in Essaouira before beginning the return journey to Marrakech.
There is time for breakfast, a short walk through the medina or some last-minute shopping before leaving the Atlantic coast.
Travel inland toward Marrakech through the countryside, with stops available along the route when needed.
Arrive back in Marrakech and enjoy your remaining time in the city depending on your travel schedule. You may return to the souks, enjoy a final Moroccan meal or simply relax after the journey.
