Your 7 Days Morocco Student Tour begins in Marrakech, where your private driver meets the group before beginning the journey toward southern Morocco.
Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, following winding roads through dramatic peaks, valleys and traditional mountain villages. Along the way, students can observe how Morocco's geography, climate and architecture change as the route crosses the mountains.
Continue toward Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most famous fortified villages and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore its traditional earthen buildings and narrow passages while learning about the importance of ksars along historic caravan routes.
After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, continue toward nearby Ouarzazate, often known as the gateway to the Sahara. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy the evening with the group.
Distance: Approximately 200 km.
After breakfast, leave Ouarzazate and travel through the landscapes of southern Morocco toward Skoura.
The area is known for its palm groves, traditional kasbahs and agricultural communities, offering an opportunity to see how settlements developed around valuable sources of water.
Continue through the Valley of Roses toward the Dades Valley. Along the way, observe traditional villages, cultivated fields and the striking contrast between green valleys and the surrounding dry mountains.
As you travel deeper into the Dades region, unusual rock formations and rugged landscapes become increasingly prominent. Stop at panoramic viewpoints to appreciate the scale of the valley and learn more about the natural forces that shaped the region.
Spend the night in the Dades Valley surrounded by the dramatic scenery of southern Morocco.
Distance: Approximately 135 km.
Leave the Dades Valley after breakfast and continue toward Tinghir and Todra Gorge.
Walk through the gorge beneath its enormous rock walls and enjoy time exploring the river valley. The landscape provides students with an impressive example of Morocco's geological diversity and the relationship between water, mountains and human settlement.
Continue east through changing desert scenery toward Erfoud, a town well known for the fossils found throughout the surrounding region.
From Erfoud, continue toward Merzouga. As you approach the village, the enormous golden dunes of Erg Chebbi begin to rise above the horizon.
Arrive near the Sahara in the afternoon and enjoy time to relax and take in the completely different environment before spending the night near the dunes.
Distance: Approximately 270 km.
Today is dedicated to discovering the Sahara and the environment surrounding Merzouga.
Spend part of the day exploring the desert region and learning about life in southeastern Morocco. The area provides an opportunity to understand how communities have adapted to one of the country's driest environments and how tourism, traditional lifestyles and the desert landscape interact.
Later in the afternoon, prepare for a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Ride together across the golden sand as the group moves deeper into the Sahara. Stop among the dunes to enjoy the scenery and watch the colors change as sunset approaches.
Continue to your desert camp for dinner and an evening beneath the Sahara sky. Students can also try sandboarding on the dunes before spending the night surrounded by the desert.
Wake early for the opportunity to watch sunrise over Erg Chebbi before enjoying breakfast and beginning the return journey west.
Travel toward Rissani, historically an important trading center and a gateway between the Sahara and northern Morocco. The region offers another glimpse into the commercial and cultural history of southeastern Morocco.
Continue across the changing landscapes toward the Draa Valley region, known for its extensive palm groves, traditional villages and historic kasbahs.
The journey provides plenty of opportunities to observe how settlements follow rivers and oases through otherwise dry landscapes.
Continue toward Ouarzazate and arrive later in the day, where the group can relax after the longer journey from the Sahara.
After breakfast, leave Ouarzazate and begin the journey back toward Marrakech.
Travel once again toward the High Atlas Mountains, but the return journey provides a different perspective on the landscapes experienced earlier in the tour.
Stop at panoramic viewpoints along the mountain route to appreciate the dramatic valleys, traditional villages and changing elevations.
Continue across the High Atlas before gradually descending toward the plains surrounding Marrakech.
Arrive in Marrakech during the afternoon and settle into your accommodation. The remainder of the day provides time to relax after the journey or begin experiencing the atmosphere of the Red City.
Distance: Approximately 195 km.
The final day is dedicated to discovering Marrakech and understanding the history and culture of one of Morocco's most important imperial cities.
Explore the historic medina and its maze of streets, traditional souks and artisan workshops. Discover some of the city's famous architecture and learn how Marrakech developed into an important political, commercial and cultural center.
Spend time around Jemaa el-Fnaa, where the constantly changing atmosphere provides an interesting look at traditional entertainment, food culture and everyday life in the city.
Students can also browse the souks and observe crafts such as leatherwork, metalwork, textiles and traditional Moroccan decoration.
